Citizen’s Groups from across Ontario are members of Wind Concerns Ontario .. committed to informing the people of Ontario the whole truth about industrial wind power. Hundreds of published reports from scientists, engineers, physicians and environmentalists refute misleading claims by wind power developers that industrial wind technology will be either effective or harmless.
Wind Vigilance is a volunteer based international advocacy federation which leads in education on the adverse health effects of human exposure to wind turbines. Our ultimate goal is to mitigate the risk of adverse health impact through the advancement of independent third party research and its application to the siting of industrial wind turbines. Its aim is to protect communities from adverse health effects .
This website has been created with hopes of assisting those who may be suffering from the effects of industrial wind turbines that were built and operating too close to their homes and families. It is also intended to assist in educating the general public and authorities, by bringing clarity regarding adverse health effects being experienced by families in industrial wind energy projects.
National Wind Watch is a coalition of groups and individuals working to save rural and wild places from heedless industrial wind energy development, by promoting awareness of and document the negative impacts of industrial-scale wind turbines on the environment, economy, and quality of life .. by being a resource of information and assistance for individuals and groups seeking the facts about industrial wind power.
Doctor Nina Pierpont has been examining the effect that infrasound has been having upon some people living in the vicinity of industrial wind turbines. Her book .. Wind Turbine Syndrome .. details the syndrome which includes sleep problems, headaches, dizziness, unsteadiness, nausea, exhaustion, anxiety, anger, irritability, depression, memory loss, eye problems, problems with concentration & tinnitus.
Industrial Wind Action is dedicated to providing information on industrial wind energy to enable communities and government officials to make informed decisions, by counteracting the misleading information promulgated by the wind energy industry and various environmental groups. Support for this effort comes from a large and diversified group of environmentalists, energy experts, and ordinary citizens.
European Platform Against Windfarms (EPAW) defending interests of groups opposing wind farms .. questioning them as tools for solving energy problems .. protecting flora, fauna and landscapes from the damage cause directly or through environmental degradation .. fighting generally against their damaging effects on tourism, the economy, quality of life, health and property values.
North American Platform Against Windpower (NA-PAW) oppose individual wind energy proposals .. questions the effectiveness of wind power in helping to solve our energy problems .. works to protect wildlife and landscapes from industrial wind power development .. fights the damage of wind energy facilities to tourism, the economy, and people's quality of life, health, and amenity.
"My Next Door Neighbour is a Wind Turbine"
We are experiencing symptoms we believe are related to the Wind Turbines near our home. I hope to create a diary of our story to assist others, ourselves, and begin awareness of the fact that Wind Turbines are not necessarily the answer. I am amazed as I research this issue to see how little is really known about the effects of wind turbines on humanity and wildlife.

Noise Radiation From Wind Turbines Installed Near Homes: Effects On Health ...
by Barbara J. Frey and Peter J. Hadden, February 2007
"Editor: This 137 page review and report makes a serious case that industrial wind turbines up to 2 MW being constructed closer than 2 kilometers from homes (and further for larger units) is a violation of the Human Rights Act, by the governments involved .. that both the industrialists and hosting land owners involved will find themselves liable for producing and allowing dangerous environmental pollution produced by un-natural air turbulence and its associated infrasound energy .. and that governments will face liability for compensation for the victims' losses."

A Problem With Wind Power ... by - Eric Rosenbloom, September 5, 2006
"The penetrating low-frequency aspect to the noise, a thudding vibration, much like the throbbing bass of a neighboring disco, travels much farther than the usually measured “audible” noise."

Public Health Impacts of Wind Turbines ... Minnesota Department of Health, Environmental Health Division ... May 22, 2009
"In addition, low frequency sounds may be amplified by resonance within rooms and halls of a building. Resonance is often characterized by a throbbing or a rumbling, which has also been associated with many low frequency noise complaints."

Sleep Disturbance and Wind Turbine Noise ... by Dr Christopher Hanning, Honorary Consultant in Sleep Disorders Medicine to the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust ... June, 2009
"The only mitigation of sleep disturbance from industrial wind turbine noise is a setback of at least 1.5km and probably greater."

Infrasound of 1 through 16 Hz Associated with Clear Air Turbulence ... by J. Posmentier, Department of Meteorology and Oceanography, New York University, Bronx, New York 10453 ... abstract from minutes of the 84th Meeting of the Acoustical Society of America (Volume 53, Issue 1, page 372 January 1973) ... PDF of Entire Minutes ... "Editor: This indicates that the production of infrasound by clear air turbulence was documented as early as 1973."
