"Timberwolf Loon" ... by Laurie March ... taken on Timberwolf Lake in July of 2006. It had been a little windy and wavy. As we turned around the south corner of the island, we saw the loon sitting a half-paddle length from us. We almost paddled right past her. This loon didn't seem to be too concerned with my presence. The shot was taken with a Fuji FinePix s7000, on auto, without flash and was cropped slightly.
