Campsite Location

GPS - UTM location: N45° 43.067' W78° 48.982' (east side of lake, first site south of portage to Tim River).

Landing

Topography of under-water approach: : A big rock (both landings).

Impediments to disembarking from and/or unloading a canoe: None.

Topography leading to tent sites: A short carry over some large rocks and roots.

Campsite

Regular or low-maintenance: Regular

Size of open ground area: 10m x 8m and 8m x 5m.

Extent of tree cover: 40% coverage at front, 90% at back of site.

Degree of levelness: Very flat and level site.

Number of tent sites: 3+.

North exposure: View of lake.

East exposure: Trees.

South exposure: View of lake.

West exposure: View of lake.

General description: Site is on a penninsula. The front of site is very open with trees on the perimeter. The back tenting area has good tree coverage and better protection from wind. Very level site that slopes slightly at the perimeter, with numerous options for pitching a number of tents.

Overall accessibility: The preferred landing would be the south side of the site, where gear is unloaded onto rock, then a short carry to the site. The northern landing area has less room to place gear, and is slightly more steep.
