Landing

Topography of under-water approach: Shallow, sandy beach.

Impediments to disembarking from and/or unloading a canoe: None.

Topography leading to tent sites: Short carry on sandy soil up a rise of approx. 2m.

A nice landing and a little climb.

Campsite

Campsite maintenance: Regular.

Size of open area: 25m x 10m.

Extent of tree cover: 60%.

Degree of levelness: Fairly level, front of site slopes toward the lake.

Number of level tent sites: Numerous

North exposure: trees

East exposure: trees

South exposure: Lake

West exposure: Lake

General description: Old growth pines dominate this campsite. With the height of the trees, it has a very open feel to it. Back of site is level, while the front angles slightly toward the water. Many places to pitch a tent, or hang a hammock. A picnic table compliments this site.

Overall accessibility: While landing and disembarking are not an issue, there is a steep 2m climb to the site.


Plenty of seating around the firepit.
