Campsite Location

GPS - UTM location: N45° 53.246' W78° 39.728'

Landing

Topography of under-water approach: Medium sized flat rock and gravel.

Impediments to disembarking from and/or unloading a canoe: Narrow opening to path from landing may cause some issue, but is a short carry to site.

Topography leading to tent sites: A rise of 1.5m on a grassy 5m path.

Campsite

Regular or low-maintenance: Regular

Size of open ground area: 10m x 5m.

Extent of tree cover: 10% tree cover only on perimeter of site.

Degree of levelness: Very level.

Number of tent sites: Could accomodate up to 3 tents.

North exposure: Trees, view of lake.

East exposure: Open view of lake.

South exposure: Trees, view of lake.

West exposure: Trees.

General description: A nice site that is well protected from westerly winds. Very little cover from trees as there are none on the site. Fairly level, with a layer of grass that cushions the tenting areas.

Overall accessibility: Accessible site with landing area in a small cove that protects from most wind.

- Opening for path to thunderbox is seen on far side of firepit.
